At Engrace Hospice our purpose is to give the highest level of physical, emotional, and spiritual care to our patients and their loved ones. We accomplish this with the most caring and gifted team members who provide holistic care and expertise while giving otherworldly service to our patients and those we serve. We foster an environment in which all are valued, respected, and given equal opportunity. Our team's commitment to quality serves as a steady wellspring of motivation. We are always guided by our heart for service to our community.
The emphasis of our program is effective symptom management with a goal of making each patient as physically and emotionally comfortable as possible while enabling them to remain at home with minimal disruption of daily life for as long as possible. We know that end of life is hard. We aim to make sure that no one faces it alone in the absence of family, friends, or resources.
Founded in Pendleton, Oregon, Engrace Hospice was established with a vision to transform end-of-life care in Umatilla County and surrounding communities. Our founders recognized that families in Eastern Oregon deserved access to exceptional hospice care without having to travel far from home. Today, we proudly serve patients throughout Pendleton, Hermiston, Milton-Freewater, and the greater Umatilla County area, bringing comfort and dignity to those facing life-limiting illnesses.
What sets Engrace Hospice apart is our unwavering commitment to personalized care. We understand that every patient's journey is unique, which is why we create individualized care plans that honor each person's wishes, values, and goals. Our interdisciplinary team—including physicians, nurses, certified nursing assistants, social workers, chaplains, and trained volunteers—works collaboratively to address the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of both patients and their families.
Our comprehensive hospice services include 24/7 on-call nursing support, pain and symptom management, medication delivery, medical equipment and supplies, personal care assistance, emotional and spiritual counseling, bereavement support, and complementary therapies such as music therapy and aromatherapy. All services are provided in the comfort of the patient's home, whether that's a private residence, assisted living facility, or nursing home.
At Engrace Hospice, we believe that quality end-of-life care should be accessible to everyone who needs it. That's why we work with Medicare, Medicaid, VA benefits, and most private insurance plans to ensure comprehensive coverage with no out-of-pocket costs for eligible patients. Our knowledgeable team can help navigate insurance questions and guide families through the admission process with compassion and clarity.
